Bruckner left for his heavenly abode in 1896 in Vienna when he was 72. Here is another place where Bruckner rethought his design. I think the juxtaposition of Bruckner with those inspired by him will be fascinating. The first three movements were completed at the end of 1894, but by the time of his death in 1896, he had not finished the last movement, but he left extensive sketches.
